California - Any SAN hotel suggestions

Would like to stay for less than $115/nt. will have a rental car, don't know much about the area, so I'm just looking for suggestions. Thanks for the help.

Really depends what you are going for. Business, pleasure and what you plan on doing. SD is a big area and could take 20 minutes or so to get to another hot spot.

The Marriott residence inn downtown usually has cheap rates around $120 a night. Not a bad place for that price.

Hampton Inn downtown is also a nice property and near the commuter rail line.

Holiday Inn - Bayside. Just spnt six nights there. Very nice for the price and good onsite restaurant.

Spent last weekend at the Hilton Gaslamp. Prices were a little higher than you are looking for, but it's a great location (walk to restaurants, convention center across the street) and the trolley is right there.

The Prescott Hotel, really good.
