Which airlines have hotel deals for hotels? Goldpoints is great (instant redemption) but I'm worried about them going bust or changing the 4 to 1 ratio so want to stick my points in an airline program. Doesn't united have radisson deals? I couldn't find the redemption on their site however. Many thanks!

You need to check the Goldpoints site for redemption information. (I usually access it through the Radisson website). In my own case, I don't save Goldpoints themselves, but rather, I have them automatically swept into my FF account. Here is some information from the site concerning partners and the 4:1 ratio (which is not necessarily a bad deal, by comparison to other hotel programs):

* * *

Exclusive Radisson Airline Partner Rewards:

Only a Radisson Gold Rewards member is entitled to redeem Gold Points to airline miles at a 4:1 ratio. Redemptions are available at 2,000; 6,000; 10,000; 20,000; and 50,000 Gold Point increments. PARTICIPATING AIRLINE MILES PARTNERS: Air Canada, American, America West, Asiana, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Continental, Delta, EL AL, Gulf Air, Icelandair, Latin Pass, Mexicana, Midwest Express, Northwest, Qualiflyer, TWA, United, US Airways.

So that's the deal. But keep in mind that both Radisson and/or your airline may run promotions from time to time that enhance the typical point awards and if you happen to be Radisson elite, it's a nice bump, too.

Happy contrails! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
