Travel Technology - Any experience with the new Vonage WiFi phone?

Hi everybody. Just saw this a couple days ago when I logged on to manage my account. Has anyone used this phone yet? http://www.vonage.com/device.php?type=F1000

I would imagine that it'd be a better option than a cellphone for one who only occasionally travels to Europe. But is this so? That's what I want to know. Thanks in advance.

It is a pretty tired design (this model first popped up almost 2 years ago). But worst of all, Vonage flat out refuses to supply them to existing customers, they only want to sell them to new signups.

I am an existing Vonage customer (1yr +). I called up and threatened to cancel unless they gave me the F1000 at the same discount that they gave to new customers. My F1000 will be arriving in 2 days at $79 plus they seemed to have given me a $50 credit to boot. You'll need to call +1-800-860-5491 and maybe sit on hold for a long time, but you should be able to get the same deal.

I know the new Linksys device (as reviewed by kanebear) is much better but I didn't want to spend that much money.
