Travel Technology - what GPS service will allow me to track my car? (gave it to nephews for roadtrip)

I'm letting my nephews and their friends to borrow my car for their upcoming roadtrip.
Is there some kind of GPS tracking service that I can install in my car to track the car? (or how about tracking their cell phones) They have agreed to pay for 1/2 the service fee if I can find such a service.
Thanks!

Let us know about the ORD / ICN trip details and we may let you know about the GPS service. You have to be willing to help others if you want them to help you.

what's the goal of the GPS tracking?
To spy on where they go or to help the with directions?
There are several devices that record GPS locations, but are not connected so you wouldn't be able to look up their current location. You would be able to download their route after they get back for example.
The other variation usually uses the pager network to send you updates on their progress. Those need to be installed into the car and tend to cost around a thousand dollars.

A google of "gps vehicle tracking" revealed lots of hits. This one looks suitable for personal use - http://www.rmtracking.com/ only $299 (no personal experience with it).

It is free but you need to have a Nextel phone. I did read some reviews and in general they were pretty good. Obviously it does not track your car, it tracks the cell. You could also get a Nextel phone and install it hidden in the car with power connected to it.
