Excellent (and I am a US Airways Chairman's Preferred just itching for other options)- and I note that r/t CLT-JFK tickets are about $148 for my trips, while US still has them priced at about $391- sounds about as effective a way in winning a battle as the French sitting there at the Maginot Line.

Looking forward to my first flight!

Yes it is for all 2 of them nonstop from JFK-RDU & CLT. Does DL has been already more competition JFK-CLT & RDU. They has been doing good for DL Connection from JFK-RDU & CLT. What about there is still more flights from JFK in the future.

Does this signal the end of their desire to serve GSO? Seems like the airport was courting them very heavily.

This is awesome news as I despise US and their poor service.

A nice start to the schedule...4X a day with solid times. Im sure US will match and then add a ton of frequency but this is great news for Jetblue. Im very confident these routes will do very well.

US has their hands full with LCC's right now. Jetblue coming to RDU, CLT, and PIT, and with Southwest thriving in PIT and CLT, you wonder how much US can really throw at Jetblue. I like these moves, but I just wish it could have started two months earlier. I will be in the Duke area in a week, but, because of poor fares on the other airlines, I am flying Jetblue to RIC.

P.S. Did Delta just drop JFK-RDU, CLT, or do they still have those routes. Same question with JFK-JAX.

DL will able still have these routes JFK-RDU & CLT for while. But, I don't think DL able dropped some several routes from JFK-RDU & CLT. They decide to have keep them for connections to European flight in JFK.

US already has tons more frequency to LGA and EWR. They just need to match their fares.

I have no qualms with JFK. LGA is a nightmare and EWR not much different than JFK in terms of getting to/from. When all said and done if their fares are matched, Jetblue trumps US in terms of service, IFE etc. Thye will hurt US--people just needed some competition to leave their wrath of PHL, CLT and PIT.

It is? US has been already more tons frequency flight to LGA & EWR. Does US need more flights to LGA and become it is slots control in LGA. I decide wait to see what happen for B6 is next new cities. I heard they won't able getting more cities in the this fall and it is will be wait until November/December start to MIA & CUN.

There are already several rumors floating around about the last 2 cities this year. Of which MIA and CUN are the most favored, but we are still awaiting the outcome of the DOTs decision about the CUN service.

No, they won't. B6 executives have publicly stated they do not have any desire to serve LAX, and SNA has no room for them.

I'd also be happy if it started in May as I'm bringing friends down from NYC, but whaddaya gonna do? July is better than never.

How are you getting from RIC to Durham? I don't know anyone that uses RIC as an alternate airport to RDU. Not that you have much of a choice if you're going to fly B6.

Yeah, I think that I should wait outcome of the DOTs to get approved the CUN service anytime soon. I will wait for official dates is coming up to CUN.

those think change some airline may reduce flights
No, they won't. B6 executives have publicly stated they do not have any desire to serve LAX, it probobly last airport in area they will go to but once they have no room to grow in smaller airports they will go to lax

Delta still have service to JFK from RDU, but has dropped service to JFK from CLT and JAX.
