American Express Membership Rewards - Platinum IEC Travel insurance experiences ?

I currently have comprehensive travel insurance as an extra to
my health insurance. It is up for renewal but now I have travel
cover from my IEC card.

Just wondering what peoples experiences have been making claims
on the card ?

I understand you and the supplementary card holder are covered
even if you have not booked with PTS or paid using the card ?
