I need a spot to conduct a very important client dinner. TIA. I was taken there by a client and I was very impressed (for Detroit). My client was from San Diego and he really liked it as well. The food was good but then we were starving. It is a steakhouse and was very quiet when I was there late in the evening during the week. Easy to talk business under those circumstances. Steve AlexB Apr 12, 06, 6:59 pm Been there many times. The restaurant is beautiful and the view impressive during the sunlit hours. After sundown, you can't really see that much, especially if you're not at a table by the window. The restaurant does not revolve any more, as it used to under its previous incarnation as The Summit. It seems to be either crowded or empty. A section of the restaurant is set apart by partitions, meant for banquets. If you want to be isolated and they have not rented that space for the evening, you may be able to request a table there. However, that side of the building faces downtown Detroit, which is not as scenic a vista as the side facing Windsor. It's a decent choice as a restaurant that will impress out of towners, while being relatively quiet. One alternative to consider is the Rattlesnake Club, but it's louder and tables are closer together. ohmark Apr 13, 06, 11:34 am One alternative to consider is the Rattlesnake Club, but it's louder and tables are closer together.
