Air New Zealand Air Points - V,W and U (on TG flights) airpoints earning rate

Hi everyone,
Planning on flying TG soon and need to check the airpoints earning rates. I know that at one time, V,W classes on TG were non-APs earning, even on other than Trans-Tasman when TG flew Trans-Tasman. However, the latest APs terms and conditions now do not show that these classes do not earn APs, so I assume they will earn the rates under discounted economy airline partner rates.

TG uses U class for its premium economy routes eg BKK-LAX,JFK, CPH, MXP etc. There is no premium economy category for Asia-Europe/USA under the partner earning chart. So does U class earn full or discounted economy rates then?

If anyone has done TG in U class premium economy, I would be interested to know what the earning rate is like.

Thanks

V, W resumed to earn Airpoints from Jan 1, 2006. And I believe U class will fall under full economy earning rate.

Well, to follow up, I wrote to airpoints and this was the reply. It doesn't sound right unless TG is so generous with what they pay to airpoints?

Dear XXXX

Thank you for your email. Thai Airways U class is credited at the First Class rate.
