Travel Technology - Motorola SLVR question - use on a plane?

Hi all,

For those that have the SLVR, can you use the iTunes capability with the phone off? I want to be able to listen to music on a plane while the phone is off.

Yes, both the ROKR and L7 have flight mode.

It depends on the mobile company, my Vodaphone L7 does NOT do inflight mode, only the cingular one I have does radio off mode.

Even though I have hacked the vodaphone version and ADDED itunes to it, it still doesn't have the inflight mode. So, it cannot be used on a flight.

Not sure if other carriers that will carry it, like t-mobile or others, will have itunes, which means they might NOT enable the inflight mode in their flash.

Thanks for the replies. I dropped by the Cingular store yesterday afternoon and they confirmed that there is a "radio-off" mode. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try it myself since they didn't have a live demo model.
