Mileage Run Deals - Ua: Nyc-bkk $579; Nyc-nrt $369; Nyc-pek $450

I'm a NWA/SkyTeam kinda guy, so I didn't do too much research on these fares, but thought they're worthwhile mentioning. I pulled them up on Dreamaps (Travelocity).

I just went to Dream Maps and it's showing $1108+ for NYC-NRT.

It is, however, also showing $374+ for NYC-KIK, but that ends up pricing out to $583.50, all-in.

Also, fares are only good for April and May. Same deals can be found STL-NRT

Right ... this is pretty much "I want to go over to Japan for Golden Week" type stuff ...

LAX/PDX/SEA/SFO - PEK is $674 all inclusive. Checked for April 14th-20th last night.

DEN - PEK is $815 all inclusive. Available now for the above dates.

While the UA fares were MIA from Travelocity earlier this week, the UA pricing people must have been attending a seminar with their LH counterparts!

Now UA Pacific fares have insane taxes too....

For example, my MCO-KIX-BUF fare booked last week is $514 base & $81 taxes = $595. The exact same flights are now $394 base & $201 in taxes = $595. Same price.

So these fares are nowhere near as good as they would have looked a few days ago.....guess this is what the future holds, unfortunately.

when i tried to price out NYC-PEK on UA on Travelocity, below it said "we found a cheaper option" and the CO non-stops to PEK were there.

Yesterday I received the fare alert from Travelocity via e-mail regarding a similar WAS-BKK fare on UA. Then when looking for a ticket on their site all I could get was a departure but no return. What good is that to send these useless notifications ? I was ready to go but I also need to come back. :(

The good part is that there is only a 4 day min. for NRT. ^

if these are the same i saw... the BKK fare was 100 less from seattle. the bkk fare didnt' have minimun stay IIRC

unupgradable :-S and limited dates, but good price.
