I really wish they would. I live in California and my parents and most of my relatives live in the Hartford area. They would all prefer to take jetBlue but don't feel like making the trek to Boston or New York. I've gone into JFK, BOS and last month even took B6 from OAK to IAD and got a United Express ticket from there to Hartford. It makes for a very long day, especially on the return to California. Although I prefer to travel on jetBlue and will continue to utilize JFK or BOS to get to Hartford, it would be great if they could start service to BDL. Perhaps they are waiting to see what will happen to DL later in the month if their pilots go on strike.

:) I work for Jetblue and we've been getting bigger & bigger. We open up cities every year due to demand & customer feedback in that particular market. In order for us to open a city there's many factors involved including Gate space. Territory is the name of the game, therefore another airline has to either pull out or cut back on flights. Since the induction of our 100 seat Embraer E190 which flies the shorter haul trips, I find this demand to Hartford something of a possible future. In the last month we have opened up Richmond, Va., Portland, ME, Austin, TX, and will be starting a few more in the next month such as Bermuda & Jacksonville, FL. We will be opening a base in Boston in June which will be our 4th base. So hang in there & keep writing to Jetblue & keep a watch on our Website. We really do listen to the comment's from customer's so hopefully Hartford might be just waiting in the wings.

How about Manchester-Boston Airport in New Hampsire - We already have Delta, USAIR and Continental flying to NYC for around $360 RT - I'm fed up with always having to drive to Logan to fly JB - Manchester is one of the fastest growing airports in the country - I was kind of shocked when Portland got Jetblue service but Manchester did not

Someone who works at the airport here stated that the reason JBwill not come to Manchester is because it will be seen as direct competition to Southwest - Southwest barely flys any North/South routes here. I hate southwest..!

I fly PIT-BDL all the time and I look at it this way when I started college in 2003 US was flying mainline jets on the route
Then Independence came in and flew the route
Then this time last year Southwest Started serving Pittsburgh
Now Jetblue serves Pittsburgh
So next summer Jet blue will serve hartford

No. I was just saying that seems to be the pattern and my luck........I have no information to say that jetblue will be serving BDL

I'm not a normal jetBlue flyer, but I would love to see a BDL-JFK flight timed to connect with the evening international departures.

Seems like IAD-BDL would work well. UA gouges that route.

It will be interesting to see how Delta does with BDL-LAX and how Northwest does with BDL-AMS. If BDL turns out to be a cash cow far in excess of expectations for Delta and Northwest then you might see some more interest in Bradley. In the meantime, jetBlue is going into Newburgh now and that isn't THAT far from Hartford.

The thing is, it seems to me jetBlue sort of has to sleep with the New York politicians, jetBlue wants something at JFK or LGA (I'm not thinking specifics here, I'm just thinking 'in general') and they have to do something (like add Newburgh) in exchange. Just my general sense of politics. I don't think anybody at jetBlue said, "Newburgh," that will be our next cash cow. I think some politician said, "we'll make sure you get more slots at LaGuardia if you promise us you'll come to Newburgh." Those are some pretty prized slots at LaGuardia. Nobody in Connecticut or New Hampshire has that kind of pull with jetBlue, you can drive to Newburgh. Just my sense...

JetBlue does fly to BDL. I've done PHX-BDL and BDL-JFK. Of course, that was only a diversion, not a scheduled flight. :D
