He said the captain and two of his assistants who survived the accident said the two-level traditional wooden boat known as a Banoosh capsized when too many passengers gathered on one end of the 100-metre-long vessel.

Bahrain's Information Minister, Mohammed Abdul Ghaffar, told the CNN and Al Arabiya news channels that 25 Britons, 20 Filipinos, 10 Egyptians, 10 South Africans and a number Bahrainis were on board. He ruled out terrorism as a reason for the disaster..."

I was shocked and very sorry to hear this at the end of last night's news bulletin. Half of the pax onboard the dinner cruise perished.
The majority of the people onboard were expat workers of a local company.

What a terrible waste and a crime that (if the story is true/proven) this could occur with so much human loss, so easily preventable or limited with normal marine safety & risk measures. :( :(
