Starwood Preferred Guest - Theresa Heinz (John Kerry's wife) loves Starwood

Here is an excert from the Smoking Gun:
"The more detailed rider, of course, belongs to the politician's spouse, who likes celery and snoozing on a "Heavenly Bed" in a Starwood hotel that has "good air circulation." She also digs flax bread, stone crabs, peanut power butter, filet mignon with veggies, and bottled water apparently run through a "reverse osmosis filter." Why are we not surprised? "

This post is one of the most compelling reasons I've seen to switch to Hilton or Marriot. :D

It was a joke Vin...hence the :D More of a comment of quasi current events and not politics. I would have made the same comment if you said Bush likes those beds.

I gotta tell you, I'm a Bush Backer, and I absolutely cannot stand these two...however, compared to some of the Riders I've seen in the past, this is really pretty tame....funny that he hates celery though! :-)

Who really cares that Kerry doesn't like celery and his significant other loves Starwood?
The saddest thing is that this is what is considered news now. I think I lost my last bit of respect for the news media and everyone associated with the industry when Wolf Blitzer actually interrupted the "Situation Room" last night for a report on this.

I agree that this is not "news" and should not be reported on CNN, etc. However, neither is the Starwood Forum on Flyertalk "news". So, on this board I think it is relevant. And as to your question of "Who cares?" Well, the people who come to this board are already interested in Starwood and they may care to know which famous people also enjoy staying at Starwood brands.

I have to agree. When I saw the link posted on Drudge, I expected something pretty colorful! I read it and it was a nothingburger.
