SPG told me today that it would take up to 14 days to transfer my points to onepass miles. reservation I made with onepass is set to expire after 72 hours. Any advice on how to expedite the transfer or extend the onepass reservation. The points-miles-trasnfer is not that good a benefit if you finally find a free ticket and SPG cant get the miles to the airline in time. Please help.

I'd see if you can get some confirmation from spg and then call the OPSC and see if they can extend the hold time based on your documented transfer of points to miles. Can't hurt to ask.

Having made as many as 3-4 OnePass and then 10+ AA starpoint to airline transfers in last 12 mo, I can say w/ 95% certainty the problem lies with the AIRLINE, not with starwood.

I had a similar issue to the OPs a couple of weeks ago - needed my starpoints to arrive in Continental's OnePass in a given time frame...2 full weeks later it had not happened, so I called starwood and sure enough - they confirmed the HARD TRANSFER had occured in a reasonable time (3-5 days if I recall)...leaving me to conclude Continental only did a "SWEEP" of the points into the Onepass account every so often. I did a hasty move from my AMEX MR account (which can and does post instantanelously FWIW)...and of course....Onepass miles posted the next day from starwood.

I am convinced starwood probably does *their part* of these *point to airline transfers within days...and its the AIRLINES failure to be as responsive.

I know for sure AA can take as long as 14 days to "post" the points into aadvantage miles once starwood makes the formal handoff.

I found Continental to be no better and no worse than AA.

But the blame goes to the airline, not to starwood, IMO. YMMV

I asked for an extension and got the Heisman. How do you get Onepass to speed things up?
