will there be somethink simular not 99 but lets say 126 anywhere southwest fly? I was so adicted to those 99 dollar fares. I can stil find simular fare on other airlines but there is no way i am flying usair? I was flying swa before they start flying from hartford. But it do not worh train ride to providence to pay 163 on flying to sacramento and then take train to oakland? what used to like abouth southwest is knowing before i go to web site how much i have to spen on flight? i just hope after sumer pick demend is over they will put resonable promotion again.
And now i have to go to conference in dallas every year. So i hope wrhigh amenment be lifted while it still afordable to fly swa.

Depending on the route, $99 one-way "as a rule" promotion fares" are indeed gone. They may return after the summer travel season, but that is hard to predict.

If US Airways has an attractive fare for your trip, I say go for it.

$99 coast to coast one way fare specials made sense a few years ago when fuel was just over $0.50/gal, but with fuel pushing toward $2/gal, I wouldn't expect to see fares that cheap.

If fuel stays expensive yet the $99 specials do return, that will be a strong signal to sell WN stock, as it will be evidence that WN is spiraling down. ;)

Here's my personal prediction: There will be $99 specials during off-peak times (not summer) to lower demand destinations. Some will be DING and some will be the "pick city of the week" specials.

Eventually, during the summer, it looks like fares are heading toward $149/$159 each way for the longest trips. $99 fares are reserved for trips that are 2.5 to 3 hours long. It looks like the lowest fares in the system will be $49 each way this summer.

Also, I would get my summer fares during this current fare sales (through early April). Last year, I got burned by waiting until mid-May and having to pay over $300 roundtrip to HOU.

The best sub-$100 Ding fares have been limited to Tuesdays and Wednesdays lately. If you can travel on those days, you may get a $99 deal this summer. Otherwise probably not.

I laughed out loud at the OP, though perhaps I wasn't supposed to. Good times.

I guess I did not hear that WN now has a West Virginia destination.
