Southwest Rapid Rewards - RR Cancellation to next day

I'm about to book a reservation for July to Las Vegas. I have a timehare i will be using and can stay up to 7 days. We're debating on the day we want to come back home. We'll be leaving Sunday, and thinking of staying till friday or Saturday. By Friday we may be itching to come back home because 6 days may be plenty. (also, we may be looking to leave the 105 degree weather )(we may also be broke LOL) anyway my question is..... if i book to return on Friday and at the last minute decide to change it to Saturday, (because we won the jackpot LOL, well it made me feel good to think it!) do you think i will have a problem switching the ticket from Friday to Saturday? It's a free RR ticket i earned from Southwest Airlines

If the award was issued before about February 15, 2006, you will have access to all unsold seats.

Also, it depends on the market. You need to determine how many flights WN has to your destination. Typically, Friday is a low day flying OUT of Vegas. So, one strategy would be to book Saturday and try to change to Friday if you want to leave early.

My ticket was received after 2/14 and I think at this point we'll shoot for Friday and take our chances.

If the Award was earned before 2/14 - no capacity controls and should not be a problem to get a flight out on Sat. (it does not matter on when the ticket was issued)

Awards after 2/15 have capacity controls and the c. c. seats may be unavailable.
