I am going to Denver on Easter weekend April 14th - 16th. I have a denied boarding voucher and wanted to use it to bring a friend along with me. There is no availability for a return flight until Tuesday April 18th. If I book him on a return flight on April 18th can he go to the airport on the 16th and go standby? Since I will be travelling with him can I use my CP status to get him higher up on the standby list? Is this too risky to do on Easter weekend? Thanks!!

Because you are a CP, you will probably be able to use the DBC voucher for him without him being in your family.

Now, with regard to return, yes, of course, he can standby on the PALL list but not with your status. He will be a SB4. Except for SB1 - SB3, depicting preferred DM/HP preferreds, ie CP, GP, SP which will list ahead of him, the best thing is to the get to the airport early as it's pretty much first come, first served on the PALL list with a SB4 designate.

Hope that answers your question.

;) Call your CP desk and endear yourself to the rep (treat her like a valued human being) asking her based on her recommendation in regard to the load on the return date, would she suggest you do it if you were her family member.
