Prices seem to be sky high ($296-349/night) for end of June...is it too early/too late already? Is this the best it's gonna get? I know NY is pricy, but man...$350 a night! :(

I stayed there for $286 once on a AAA rate, but if you want somewhere decent $300+ it is. magic168 Mar 14, 06, 8:15 pm Yeesh. :( cordelli Mar 14, 06, 9:17 pm Reserve it now to hold the price, if the price drops then reserve another room, and cancel the one you have. Prices in the city have been insane. I believe the time you are looking for may be graduation time, watch for that, you may not get a room. omegadeal Mar 14, 06, 9:48 pm That particular property varies in price quite a bit. I've stayed there at $150 rates several times. You may want to also check out the Hampton in Chelsea. magic168 Mar 15, 06, 12:43 am Thanks for the info. I'll probably book a cancellable room soon. Karter Mar 15, 06, 6:14 am I had the same issue with the room I've been trying to book for the end of September. I was in NYC for just one night last month and the rate at the Doubletree was $159. I then booked flights to New York for a weekend at the end of September and prices at all Hilton properties are approaching $300. The best I could get was the Embassy Suites downtown for $229 but I really wanted that Doubletree. Maybe the embassy suites will be nice though - I'm still an ES virgin.
