I did a search on this, but didn't manage to come up with anything very useful.
Does anyone know when the new model year cars are distributed and for how long they use "outdated" models?
The only reason I ask is because I'm looking to rent a Mustang convertible in SMF in August. They don't have the Mustang in the FUN category, but do have a Mustang or equivalent category for a convertible. The linked picture to the relevant car class on the Hertz site shows the old model, which seems strange, since I've only seen the newer body on Hertz lots for the past six months. Is there any chance that smaller stations like SMF might not get newer models in a timely fashion or at the same time as bigger stations? Or is Hertz just being lazy in updating their site?
