Avis - Is Avis unlimited milage truly, unlimited?
Hi all,
I've just put approximately 5000 miles on a rental, (10 days) and I am wondering.. Is avis going to drop me as a customer? I rent 12 days per month, and this past 10 day trip I decided to include some vacationing as opposed to working.
What do you guys think? Ezmonee, I'm looking at you :)
Thanks!

never had a problem...
i rent cars from ottawa for a day and drive them down to ny round trip, putting on over 1000 miles per rental, never had a problem. took a lincoln with 24 miles and hiked it to almost 3000 miles in a three day rental, all unlimited...
anyways, i dont think they will drop you.
(well, i hope not...)

i would suggest that you go to the nearest avis location and swap out cars for "PM" reasons. Other than that, you are truly "unlimited" when it says unlimited. they may do a double take on the mileage, but it is unlimited.
Thanks guys,
I just dropped the car off at the location I rented from, they were not open when I dropped it off...
I'll keep you posted, I am prefered select.
Cheers,

Hi Ezmoneeee,
I was wondering then.. If you have a car from location X, and you drive 5000 miles with a car from location X. Can I just stop at an avis location 5000 miles from location X and get another car without a one way fee?
Just curious,
Cheers

Rented for a 2.5 week period once - drove from YYC-YYZ-YUL-YOW-NYC-DCA-DEN-SLC-LAX-YVR-YYC ... tacked on 25,000 kms (16,000mi) after picking up a brand new Lesabre with 22kms on it. Not a question when I returned it.
Now that the REAL meaning of a mileage run!!! :)
