Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Flying J & F - where to check-in?

Tomorrow I'm flying CX in J (TPE-HKG) then F (HKG-BKK).

Can I check in at the F counter here in TPE if my connecting flight is in F? Likewise will I have F lounge access here or only in HKG?

If you are connecting directly to BKK, I would be very surprised if they did not let you check in at the F counter - after all, one of the boarding cards they give you will be an F one. If I were in your shoes (and I do admit that I don't know what size you take) I would go directly to the F counter. Good luck!

Yes, I was able to check in at the F counter and this made sure the luggage was given F tags and checked thru to the final destination. It also possibly saved me excess baggage charges LOL! :p

no just J lounge in TPE, although the F section is probably easy to walk thru into.

I had a fast connection in HKG and didn't make it to the F lounge which was a BIG SHAME!

That is a shame - as lounges go, CX's 2 F lounges in HK are excellent. Better luck next time!

If your TPE flight only had J and you were flying a F ticket I would have lobbied for F lounge access.

Was not worth it for us to bother as the F lounge in NRT was such a joke that it was not even funny. At least LAX has a separate F lounge not just some random seats in the corner that say "First Class Only."

FWIW, I've been given F lounge invitations & F tags in BKK when checking in for a J flight connecting onwards through HKG on a F flight. I'm only OW Sapphire so it just happened to be a nice TG agent.

Yeah I did think about it but it was 5am and really couldn't be bothered, it was just nice to be in a lounge full stop!

As for the flights, I should report they were excellent. I just wished I hadn't been awake for nearly 24 hours and could have felt in a better mood to enjoy them. Having the flat bed was a major bonus for the second flight.
