We are using CO miles for business class tickets next summer to Prague via Houston and Paris with long lay-overs in each city. Continental to Houston and Air France to Paris, connecting to Prague. What lounge would you recommend in Houston, assuming we can use either Continental's or AF's lounges? Also, in Paris, do we need to clear immigration prior to using AF's arrival lounge? It looks like we are arriving at 2C and departing from 2B. If so, is it worth the hassle or should we just proceed to the 2B area without clearing immigration and use the AF lounge there? I'm assuming that since we are traveling to Prague, we can stay air-side in Paris without clearing immigration if we choose??? Thanks. PS. This is my first question on the Flyertalk board but have learned a heck of a lot by reading everyones posts.

If you have a long lay over in CDG (how long is it, BTW ?), it is definitely worth it to go landside to use the arrivals lounge. There are fourteeen nice showers there, none in the 2B lounge, and you can also have your clothes ironed and a continental breakfast (including eggs and ham, while in the 2B departures lounge, you would only have various types of croissants). Furthermore, it is more restful as the 2B lounge is on a mezzanine and you have all the noise from the terminal.

You do need to clear immigration twice, though, once to enter France in 2C, and once to leave France in 2B. You would not need to go through immigration if you were using the airside transfer bus to connect to your flight to PRG in 2B.

Welcome to the active side of FT, and enjoy your flights :).

Thanks, JOUY31. My lay-overs (in both Houston and Paris) are 4 hours. I assume that should be ample time to enjoy the arrivals lounge???

You will have plenty of time, this is a small but very nice lounge :)
