I am allowed to sign up for Hertz#1 Gold both through Ameniti and American Express Platinum.

Problem is I cant rent cars even though I'm allowed into the program, the great deal through Ameniti 50% off Prestige cars.

I want a Volvo V70 XC and CSR is telling me no, advised me to call back or just change my birthdate to one that says im over 25 and deal with it that way.

There has to be a CDP that allows under 25 to drive. I have AMEX's primary insurance for the rental car (not liability though) and I still cant rent a nice car for myself and getitng extremely p'oed.

So if anyone would be kind enough to tell me what to do (I understand the American Bar Association has these codes), I would like a way out.

I'm an extremely responsible driver been driving for many years and not one black mark on my history. Geez, this is so hard

Thanks

When I was under 25, I had a corporate code that allowed me to rent from Hertz. This was mid-90's - I remember that in order to get set up in #1 Club Gold, I had to fill out a special paper form and snail-mail it to Hertz, and then they snail-mailed back the #1 Club Gold materials about three weeks later. It was a pretty archaic process, but when I called Hertz they pretty much said "We have one guy who manually approves these under-25 requests for our big corporate accounts."

Once I had completed that process, I had no problems renting from Hertz. I completed a similar process for Emerald Aisle, but rarely used them. Our company also had good corporate rates for Avis and Budget, but I did not bother with signing up with them until I was 25.

I have no idea what the process is today. My only (long-winded) point is that there aren't typically freely available CDP codes that waive under-25 driver fees, but if you work for a company that has a contract with Hertz, they might have a CDP that works.

CDP 13000 rents under 25. American Bar Association CDP.

This should be a sticky. :)

Thank you so much.

Looks like I have to take Ameniti CDP off which kills the deal, but I am sticking with that and hoepfully use the ABA card i just signed up for.

We'll see what happens ;)
