Hilton HHonors - Water Charge before I check out - How?
Stayed at the Doubletree Castle in Orlando last night. Returned to the room after dinner and opened a bottle or Evian in the room, knowing there was a $4 charge (after the machine took my $1). This morning when I opened the bill from under the door, the charge was already on there.
Help me understand how they did this, as the front desk could not explain. The water was on the dresser, so not in a mini bar with sensors. I can't find any electical contacts on the cap that could have been broken and reported. No one was in the room but me after I opened the water.

Very good advice indeed! As they are most certainly watching you, I would also be very careful with certain pay per view selections at this particular property

Actually, you should check your final bill. Chances are that they had charged you for the water for the day before by mistake and might have charged you for another one after checkout.

Personally I prefer the "watching you" explanation. I am not one to fact or reason stand in front of a good story ;)

They watch you wherever you stay.
Once in Chicago I pulled out the antenna cable by purpose and it took 24 mins for the maintance staff to come and fix it. They told me that they had some signals indicating my TV was out of order
