I will be staying in several H hotels in the near future and have been watching the rates closely.
It amazes me how much the rates have changed in 2 weeks.
Some sample hotels:
1. $145US, (Lowered to) $135US.
2. $380SGD, (Lowered to) $350SGD.
3. 94 pounds (increased to) 154 pounds.
4. 89 pounds (increased to) 99 pounds.
(These are for flexible bookings.)
Similar changes on a couple of SPG hotels I've monitored too.
While this shouldn't suprise me (It's yield management in action!), it just goes to show 2 things...
1) Always recheck prices regularly if on flexible bookings and
2) How much risk vs saving are you willing to take on a non-cancellable booking?
