Other Asian, Australian and South Pacific Frequent Flyer Programs - Korean air Upgrade at the airport

I would like to ask if anyone here every tried to upgrade from business to first class at check in with korean air and if you did how much did they charge you for that?I am gonna fly BKK-LAX return and as far i can see there are still enough of space left in first on the ICN-LAX part, so if anyone could help me it would be appraciated.

Just flew the similar route from BKK - SEA via ICN. I asked about the purchase upgrade icn and they said they do not offer that. They seemed surprised at my question. However, they said I can pay the difference in fare to move from C to F. The cost difference was huge: 2K USD. I said no.

I read a post on here awhile back about a guy who managed to pay an upgrade from C to First on Korean while en route to the US. @:-) Wish I could recall it now! Maybe he'll come across your post and brief you.

I flew in FC BKK-LAX last month. I had a paid C class ticket, and I think they sell this plane as a one class only. I still got the full FC experience and service, so not bad. I certainly wouldn't pay 2k upgrade for it (or total, even!). I paid less than 1.6k for my C class, RT.

exactly, I wouldnt pay that either even if it was SQ. (Just too much $)
