Hertz - Best Hertz Station

I have to say BOS is the best Hertz I have seen. Upgraded to a Navigator and 3 volvos, this month. Cars are always ready, clean & I never wait for the bus. Sure beats last year when I went to PHL for months and had to wait for the bus and not have a car ready.

I'd have to say SAN is my favorite station. Always a good upgrade. etc etc etc.

I personally like the smaller Hertz that actually have friendly service.
Several years ago I was traveling to SLO on a weekly basis (no gold service) but they always took care of me and had a great car ready for me when I got of the plane.

My favorite is LGA because there is a lady at returns that is so friendly and greets me by name - I'm a little embarassed to admit that I don't know her name though.
Also, there are always buses that are going back to the airport and so you never have to wait for a bus. The drivers are quick too. One time, I was running behind (I think I had 20 mins to make it on my flight) and the driver got me to the terminal in like 3 minutes - with a $5 tip. I zipped through security and made it on my flight. Since I previously printed my boarding pass, I wasn't subject to the 30 min check in rule.
Personally I find AUS and BOS to be two of the best. Always clean cars and professional staff

I would say BWI. I always get decent upgrades, with cars always ready, they're a well-run location.
Obviously the layout is obviously poor with all the car rentals so far off-site, that's not really Hertz's fault. They do very well with what they've got.

(I was thinking of starting the same thread)
Great upgrades, clean cars, easy and reliable pick-ups, drop-offs, no shuttle to deal with and friendly staff.

1. Best fleet (though other locations have caught up, LAX has long had the most varied selection of high end Prestige cars and better-than-average non-Prestige models - e.g., Camrys instead of Tauri).
2. I cannot rememember the last time I was not offered an upgrade at LAX, except when I had booked a Jaguar already.
3. Have never, ever, ever had to wait for anything there - name always on the sign when I get off the shuttle, no line at the exit booth, and no wait when returning.

I have not seen FLL yet. It is the only place that upgrades to Jags. I have been upgraded twice their, but it was in the summer, I would assume in the winter it is different.

Over the course of several hundred lifetime rentals at MCI, I've only had maybe 2 problems related to inefficiency or poor process at Hertz. One was a time when they were overbooked in 1999 - but I was PC at the time, told them I'd take any available car, so I got one in about 5 minutes. The other was when they were deleting coupon codes on return - that was right when the online 9xxxxx codes were becoming popular. Eventually it was fixed and the problem hasn't occurred since.
The MCI rental car system isn't great - you have to take buses - but Hertz runs the most frequent buses of any company, and other than the one problem mentioned above, I've never had my car not sitting there waiting for me.
