I've finally got enough ZE1's to to cover a weekly award rental. I've converted hotel points for "truly" free nights and am wondering if the Hertz rewards are the same (taxes - airport fees etc..)??

Taxes / concession fees which are a proportion of the rental cost will indeed be free. Those which are a specific amount will typically still be charged I've finally got enough ZE1's to to cover a weekly award rental. ALARISstl Feb 28, 06, 9:28 pm I think so, I used the free week prestige rental @ LAX last April and the total was $0.00. I'm pretty sure you only pay taxes/fees on the earned free rental day certs. Someone correct me if I'm wrong fly-yul Feb 28, 06, 9:30 pm I've finally got enough ZE1's to to cover a weekly award rental. No. My experience with earned free rental certs is that they cost a little and the amount changes from location to location. I assume ZE1's would be similar. At FLL a free rental cost me 5.68$. At YYZ they cost about 6$. At YUL they cost 2.47$ bhatnasx Mar 1, 06, 6:35 pm I believe that you pay taxes & fees - to reduce this, if renting from an airport location, state that you're not arriving via plane on the reservations page. Also use a discount CDP since your taxes are off of what the base rate would be. |
