Just curious if anyone knows of any GSM/Wi-Fi phones, phones which can seamlessly transfer between Wi-Fi and GSM networks which already exist. Samsung T709 is only due to come out in several month.

CelticFlyer Feb 27, 06, 9:26 pm There are certainly some phones available, but the seamless transfer depends on a service provider putting the necessary infrastructure in place. Few have done so to date, but that will change in the next 12 months. However, this is for data only, not voice (yet). jab Feb 27, 06, 11:25 pm The iMate JasJar has GSM/CDMA and wifi (only B). Skype is shipped on the unit, although I have heard mixed reviews on how well it works. It will not shift between GSM/CDMA and wifi. Same for the Wizzard /k-jam. jab Mar 1, 06, 8:21 pm Scott, Thanks. I will have to search for that. JAB |
