Travel Technology - Thinkpad gurus... Help on NumLock settings

Thinkpad BIOS setting allows me to have NumLock off when no external keyboard is connected. However, XP remembers the last state.

Is it possible to set it so that it works as the BIOS setting states?

If external keyboard exists, then turn Numlock on else leave it off.

I'll try to force it tonight

One would think this would be a feature to add to their "Keyboard Customizer Utility"
