Australia, New Zealand & the South Pacific - Last-minute hotel booking sites for Adelaide?

Friends just called from SYD. They haven't been happy with the ICH bookings so far. They're off to ADL tomorrow and have asked me to search for 4*+ pool in the CBD under $200/nt. Can anyone recommend particular sites? I'm checking the usual suspects now.

A BIG thanks for any help!

Visited Adelaide a couple of times as part of a 3 week holiday recently and stayed at the Hilton both times. Sub A$200 and has a pool and an Executive Floor if you have HHonors status. Great hotel in good location - minutes from the CBD and dozens of restaurants and bars nearby. We booked through hilton.com

Exec. level king was available for non-status friends for about US$215/nt. (The Fringe Festival starts this weekend.) Comparable rate as I was finding through the other sites. For about $20 more/nt, they'll have breakfast and lounge access... and earn points!

Thanks again, jtkauai and BAGoldBoy. :)

You forgot the main one for FT'ers or anyone looking for a bargain -- www.octopustravel.com.au where you get $25 off each booking as well if you use this link. (www.octopustravelnewsletter.com/au/vouchers/rsvp) ;)

Get $A25 off any hotel or car rental or tours etc on bookings over $100. It does not say you need to be an OZ resident to apply for voucher.

This a large worldwide travel company. I feel sure rates are pretty good with them and comparable to all other web lowballers.

I have in fact booked an error fare off them for next month for Zurich at a fraction of usual rate as per a long FT thread, and they honoured all of those bookings AFAIK.

I can't imagine rates booked ex oz are any different in your currency than other sites, so this is just a straight saving I imagine. Let me know how you went!

If you apply using a different email address you'll get a new voucher. Trust me.
