...when you hit Silver on 2/22 (domestic only, 7 trips from phx to NY area). At least it's too much for me, I need a break. Only upgraded on 3 flights, I'm a Gold. :(

You know you have been flying too much when you switch your flights for a week to United because America West Regional Jets are way too comfortable :) ;)

When you have hit silver on 2 airlines by Mar 6 and have another 12k MR calendered for March/April and still have all the work trips to schedule.

I may just have to hit CP this year :)

Just because NW did a gate return to DTW half way to NRT... Doesn't mean that you get the "ACTUAL" miles flown. ( Just Kiddin.. But its could happen gotta love NWA.)

Seriously 29,000+ miles in 10 days, now thats a serious mileage run.

Where did you fly to / from?

PS - You should try out the Star Alliance (*A) its a lot better than Sky Team. Too bad CO wasn't part of *A ( oops cat is out of the bag sort of)

3 - 2 day each international trips..

Any recommendation on StarAlliance? I'm thinking about jumping ship.

I am an EX CO Flier. Continental is the best airline in the air pound for pound. With that said.

The sky team is a joke with NWA & DL.

I am now getting comfortable with the Star Alliance, and its pretty cool!

There are two things you need to watch:

First - Having to baby sit your reservations for upgrades and elite seats.

*Having to Call AWA to Call US Airways East to Call United on a U operated flight. The agents are very helpful, but this takes extra time.

Second - You will also need to do some research before booking tight connections in various cities. Some cities they do not share same concourse, this requires extra time for security

With that said, I think you would also like the Star Alliance

PS - Dont fly US / HP to Hawaii - 757 -200 Not fun!

Otherthan that... Welcome on Board.

Thanks!

For past two years, I've cut down my domestic travel to under 50k miles. but majority of my travel is international. I'm based out of NYC area. which should I pick as the primary FF plan? I may not fly USAir that much, but I am
leaning towards having it as my primary Staralliance membership. Any suggestions? Do you think I can get a status match?

You know you fly too much when...
- The voice saying "stand to the right, and hold onto the handrail" haunts your dreams.
- Your kids are making too much noise in the other room and you try to close the mesh curtain.
- You have painted your car in the Arizona Cardinals scheme.

I love this thread. Very funny stuff.

I have always said: You know you are flying too much when most of the slot attendants at LAS know who you are. (At least they direct me to a possible winning machine!).

Safe travels to all.

You know you are flying too much when one GA says every week " Hey it is MR.LAX1K to AMWEST... it must be Sunday".

You know you are flying too much when the GAs welcome you back to ONT by name.
