Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - would you trade?

would you trade a J seat for a non working F seat just to have the extra F experiance?

in this case the F seat will not recline and is stuck in an upright position.

Long haul? No. Short haul, probably yes if the seat was reasonably comfortable to sit in - just to get the Krug/Tignanello (or Kaiseki to NRT).
