I havent rented from Hertz since last October, which was from TPA, got a nice deal booked a B got a YD(Solara), nice upgrade.
In April, Im renting from my hometown airport again, ALB. What does Hertz have in its fleet now in the G class?, got a great FRDM rate $122/all in for 3 day weekend. or should I change it to a F for 10 dollars less, for better cars? like the new Impala, I wanna try that out.
So basically what could I get in the G class besides the GM/Crown Vic? I would like some opinon.
Thanks

thats pretty much it, unless you get lucky and get upgraded to a YG which might be a toyota avalon
Most of the G class cars are cars for grandpa.

So what should I do leave my res. alone and hope for a YG or change it to a full size reservation?

Isn't the Buick LeSabre in the G class? You might get one of those, or if you're lucky, maybe one of the new Lucernes (not sure if Hertz carries these)...

I've rented cars in the past 6 months in the Northeast at ALB, BTV, MHT and BOS.
With the exception of BOS, which is a Prestige station, all the other stations had a mixture of cars with plates primarily from MA, CT, NY, NJ with a few other states (IL, OH, VT, FL, VA, MD) thrown in for good measure. I've gotten the full experience -- reserved a F at ALB, and ended up in a Toyota Highlander with NY plates. Reserved a C at BTV and got a Ford Mustang. Reserved a F at BOS, ended up in a Nissan Murano Reserved an F at MHT, ended up in an Impala.
When I returned my Hundai at BOS yesterday I was shocked at the diversity of the license plates and types of car in the return lines. It just goes to show that there is little consistency in the fleets and cars are moving around all the time -- just because I ended up in a Toyota Highlander in ALB doesn't mean you won't end up in a Grand Prix, a Ford Explorer, or a Subaru B9 Tribeca, or that same highlander. I've tried to figure out what kind of car I'll end up with and other than the "I'll probably get a Taurus" I'm never right.
If I were you, I'd keep your G reservation and then you'll probably be able to talk yourself into something decent. It all depends what is sitting in that garage on the morning you arrive.

I am thinking about changing the reservation to a F class becuase the Impala is in that class and a bunch of other cars. I really dont want another grand marquis. I want to try something new.

It is easier to talk your way DOWN from a G to an F, or up from a G to an H if you don't take the original car in your spot.

Online, I can see various car descriptions, but I do not find the letter code (e.g. "G") for these different cars. Does anyone have a hyperlink?

I actually have a G class car booked with Neverlost, what type of car would I get? Say if the location dosent have any in the G class with NL, what will I get?
Has anyone had any experience with this?
Thanks and please reply.

If G with NL is not available, you could be put in a Towncar, Volvo, or even an Explorer if you’re so motivated. There are several factors that determine the car you get.
We used 3 things to determine what you’d leave the lot with:
*If we have too many of another class we need to get on the road (as long as it was comparable in size to what you booked)
*Simply the next car class up from what you booked
*Ask the customer if they’re interested in one of a few choices
Sometimes people opt for a downgrade with a free tank of gas, especially if only 1-2 people will be in the car. When you book NL with your rental it limits the pool of vehicles you can be offered. Also, NL is generally not in anything smaller than a mid-size.

A G-class w/ NL is usually a Grand Marquis/Crown Victoria with NL for me

Actually, It turns out I wont be needing NL on this trip, I know where I need to go. But however, I forgot that I have a foreign car pref. on my gold profile, so what experiences has anyone had with a G res. and a foreign car pref.
Thanks, and please reply,

An Avalon if you are real lucky, maybe the Hyundia GX350 (are whatever it's called) I think they will still end up giving you a LeSabre or GM/CV or a YF(Camry/Impala) But, good luck! let us know.
