Priceline says air ticket bid business fading
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) — Priceline.com, which came to prominence by offering travelers a chance to name their own price for hotel rooms and airline tickets, is seeing a sharp decline in its ability to sell plane tickets that way, its chief executive said Monday.

However, no real mention of hotel rooms as an issue in decline. this makes sense to me, given my informal surveys of a wide range of price sensitive people. I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't see the value and efficiency in the hotel room bidding, while many people have never seemed sold on the airline ticket bidding. YMMV
