Starwood Preferred Guest - Slightly OT: Rate Checker Program

Is there a program or software available that will allow you to check multiple hotel rates on specific dates? For example, you have a room reserved at a hotel A on March 6 for $100, hotel B on March 7 for $200, and hotel C on March 8 for $150. The software would constantly check these specific hotels to see if rates were lowered. Then you could easily make a new reservation at the lower rate and then cancel the higher rate rez.

Starwood Hotels seems to utilize yield management aggressively but it is a hassle for me to constantly check rates everyday to catch a lower price.

I don't know of anything, but there are ways to make it easier/faster to recheck your individual reservations. It's possible, for example, to add many of spg.com's search results pages to your favorites/bookmarks. Pull up the link to the results page, and you'll see the current results for that search. No need to re-enter the dates, location, special rate code, etc.

I'm interested in seeing the spg-specific answers to your question, so I hope it stays in this forum for a while. But ultimately, this might be a better question for TravelBuzz or another forum.

I have been bookmarking results but it can become cumbersome when I have reservations at Marriott, Hilton, Hampton, and Starwood properties.

I posted this on the Starwood forum since their hotels seem to change rates more often than the aforementioned brands.
