Looks like another spin of Dream Maps, although perhaps a little more useful?

Searches multiple airports and destinations simultaneously for the ultimate
lowest fare to the top 50 U.S. destinations

Where can I go, and what's the cheapest way to get there?

DALLAS, Feb. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- FareCompare LP, a provider of next-
generation airfare search technology, announced today the deployment of an
airfare search engine on the Google map platform that helps consumers quickly
find the cheapest way to reach multiple destinations. FareCompare's Airport
Map takes the search for airfares to a level beyond that offered anywhere else
by giving consumers a choice of destinations, dates, and routes for their
travel.
Click on "My Airport Map" on http://www.farecompare.com, and a map of the
U.S. displays the lowest fares from both major and regional airports nearest
you to the top 50 destinations across the country. To get from New York to
Cincinnati, you can fly American Airlines for $299*. Or, you can fly from
Hartford, CT to Columbus, OH on Northwest Airlines for just $118. The map
shows all these options in an easily readable format.
"Travel is all about maps. Now you can see the lowest fares in relation to
where you are and where you want to go," said Neil Bainton, Chief Operating
Officer. "Using the Google map platform you can uncover ways to save hundreds
of dollars by using regional airport alternatives."

Just checked the prices for LAX and ORD. I can't believe the low prices for these two cities. 218usd for LAX on Alaska and 178usd for ORD on US Airways  This might be a handy tool for those millage runs ^

Easy there folks. This thing just came out of beta. Apparently they've got Int'l destinations in alpha testing right now and are hoping to add intl destinations within a month or two. Also note the "Widgets" page, especially if you use Mozilla Firefox. ^

Your right!

My apologizes. I didnt think about Beta. Thought it was strange that it would scroll over to Eur/Asia, and I just kept trying to hit view fares, got nothing.

Thanks for the post.

also since this is beta, maybe they will take some hints from FT about what to include? or "dream" wishes

Crap. Doesn't work. Gives you fares that don't exist with restrictions that don't exist. It's like they are only listing prices from airline ads instead of real fares. Sorry, I'll stick with ITA.

Looks like a neat tool.

I've always wondered if there is a Dream Maps-like tool that allows you to filter by airline. Anybody come across something like this before?

Apparently they want you to enter city names instead of airport codes, which is a bit of a nuisance.

After all, why did I learn all those 3-letter codes? :)
