California - Outlet Shopping

Simple question (I hope):
What is the best lot of outlet shops in California?
Last time I had time to shop in CA, I spent a considerable amount of time at Lake Elsinore, but not sure if it's considered "good" by the locals, or if it's fairly mediocre.
Depending on what part of California you will be visiting, here are two that I have tried:
Northern California - Gilroy Outlet Malls (close to San Jose)
Southern California - Cabazon Outlet Malls (close to Palm Springs)
Have fun.

Don't go to the Gilroy Outlets on the weekends--absolutely swamped. Oh and if you like In 'N Out Burger there is one there! Best to go early to the outlets.
Southern California - Cabazon Outlet Malls (close to Palm Springs)
Have fun.
I'll second tnw - Cabazon is an outstanding outlet center. My wife & I trek out to Palm Springs every 6 months or so and this is always a stop. Highly reccomended.
If you are north of L.A. try the Camarillo Outlets in Ventura, good shopping as well, but not quite as good as Cabazon.
A good site to find info on outlets is www.premiumoutlets.com.
Good luck & Good shopping!

If you're going to be in Southern California, check this website before you arrive: http://bargainsla.com/sales.htm
It doesn't have the standing outlet centers where the prices are about what you'd see on sale anywhere, rather it lists the once or twice a year warehouse sales, sample sales and so forth, where you'll get the best buys.
