Sorry if this has already been discussed;
I compared two full-size rentals at SEA for 13-Feb.
The first was using my company CDP.
The second was using AAA CDP.
Car/dates/times were exactly the same.
Both reservations showed:
Rate Code CR
"Your rate has been discounted by 20%"
Rate using AAA CDP $76.52
Rate using company CDP $85.29
Does anyone know why a 20% discouint can equal two different totals?
I'd prefer to use my company CDP as we get a free day cert for every 15 rentals (plus individual Club Gold benefits).
I made/booked both reservations and spoke with someone at Hertz who referred it to someone else.
Waiting for their return call.

YOur company's CDP may give collison damage waiver. Check that. They may make the difference.

channa resolved the question/issue
From channa's e-mail to me:
FYI -- it's a discount off of various pricing levels.
AAA may give you 20% off the lowest available rate, while your CDP may give you 20% off a specific rate class (think V fare or higher if this were airline
terms).
As always, buyer beware!
The difference in a 1-day rental (Taurus/Sable) between my company CDP and a AAA CDP was $7.40.
We get a free rental day cert for every 15 company rentals (through our CDP). At the $7.40 difference the "free" rental costs $111/free day.
Yes, we do get Club Gold for all employees.
But does ANYBODY really pay for that?

My corporation negotiated rates better than I could get with AAA. At least that was true a few years ago. Basis your post, I will check and see if that remains the case.
Thanks
