Any help would be much appreciated.

I had decided I wanted to finally give priceline a try and as a reult went to priceline.com to bid for a 4* hotel at San Francisco Airport on 02/18/06 I named a price of $60 (Just guessing really) and then went to the payment screen.

As a first time user I needed to enter my billing address for my credit card however, it would only allow me to add a state and zip code. Obviosly from the UK i need to enter county and post code! I thereofre could not go any further.

I then tried Priceline.co.uk but this would not give me any US hotels and directed me back to priceline.com

Any ideas or suggestions?

Use priceline.com and pick any state and a 5 digit number that comes to mind. I've done this several times with no problems at all. You will be billed in dollars as you're using the American website.

check out betterbidding.com on info on how to maximise your bidding.

I'll also add that although i haven't looked at your specific date, you're probably lucky they didn't let you bid just yet... $60 is usually too much for the SFO zone.

Look on betterbidding etc...It has suggestions for those bidding outside USA.
It suggests 99999 as a zipcode.

Alternatively, if you can get a US address, your English CC should happily add it if you ask (had no problems doing that with two of my CCs) so you can just type in the address then.

You can bid for US hotels using Priceline UK with this link:

You can also bid on priceline.com.hk - where you bid in Hong Kong $. Easy to use with foreign credit cards. Another advantage is that you can rebid immediately by increasing your bid by HK$50 without having to wait 72 hours as you would on the US site.

I've used this "feature" before. ^
