America West FlightFund (Pre-2005 US Airways merger) - ON America West Flight, can I put United Mileage Plus Account Number ?.

I am not sure how the merger of USAIR and America West is going on, but if I am flying America West Flight on America West Ticket, can I put those miles on United Mileage Plus ?.
