Read somewhere on this board that they were raising the prices this year. Anyone have any details? I'm returning to Sri Lanka in Feb. and am trying to figure out whether I will do an DONE3 or just a regular biz fare (or fly SQ).

Don't know about CMB-SFO, but I just ticketed CMB-JFK in I for around 2.7K (tax inclusive). Was told that there will be a change in pricing at the end of Jan though. CX agents do not know the new price as yet.

Thx. There used to be an I fare CMB-SFO/LAX for @ $1600 (presumably to compete with SQ's published $1600 biz fare). Perhaps I'll email the CMB pricing desk at CX... Or just go ahead and get a DONE3 for not too much more than your CMB-JFK fare. Or fly SQ.

Currently, SQ prices out at 1500 USD (excl taxes) in C (published). I am very interested to know if CX matches that in I. Please keep me informed (PM or otherwise). LAX-JFK is about $300 right now. That would bring the total to about 1800. Of course, AA domestic F is not in the same league as CX-J. Thx.

Probably, these are published fares.

These farres are published.
I use the Availability tool (do a search for it here) to find these fares (you need the full version - well worth it). Then do a search for fares CMB-LAX etc - you need to enter a specific airline, otherwise the list is getting too long.
Also there is a lot of information about these fares over at the Star All. Forum - do a search there for CMB.

www.zuji.com.sg, also has a "fare listings" type feature where it lists the lowet published fares between A and B, the best thing about this site though, is that it can also look up cheapest business class fares and cheapest first class fares.

JL has round-trip fares for $1300 in C and 2900 in F.
You can still credit the miles to AA, but no EQP/EQM. Can't wait till they become a OW member. JL does not fly out of CMB, but here's the rule.

Yes, I do, thanks. I emailed them in January -- I'm pretty sure it would be difficult to blame the lack of response on public holidays.
