I did a search for this, but couldn't find anything.

I just found that if you show all fare rules on Delta.com, it shows the full routing for the fare.

I didn't check if it cuts off long routings (like Expedia does sometimes), but I would assume it doesn't.

Looks like DL is way out ahead on this one compared to UA where it's hard enough just to book a ticket online!

Why, it's like the MLS having to put itself on the Web. I hope it spreads. :)

Unfortunately most of the routing rules at DL.com are going to be bad news. Many domestic fares are one-stop only now.

I have definitely noticed this! It is certainly bad news for Mileage Runners! I first noticed when I was looking to maximize a TUL-MCO trip. Just over Christmas I booked MCO-SLC-TUL, but I now notice that this is no longer a valid routing. It lists something like: TUL-DL-MEM/HOU/CVG/DTT/ATL/AAA/BBB/CCC/DDD/EEE/FFF-DL-MCO

Although this is bad for mileage runners, it really is good for Delta. There had always been reports of agents occasionally getting upset with booking such crazy routings, but if they publish the routes, then why not fly them? Well, they've finally caught on and aren't publishing crazy routings anymore. Good for them. Now on to NW/CO for my Skymiles MRs! I like WCs and PCs better anyways!

Oh really?

*looks at a $158 MR on DL out of a midwest city worth over 6K MQMs*

While it is true that they closed some opportunities (i.e. NYC-ATL-SLC-MSY), they left others open and at the same time.....even opened up some new routings that were previously not valid for certain city pairs.....not to mention offering very good fares for certain routes.

All it takes is a bit of digging. ;)

Besides....IMO, if it was really easy.....then it wouldn't be as much fun. :p

Also.....sometimes it pays to construct a MR out of 2 RT fares in order to maximize the mileage and/or lower the cost per MQM. ;)

As previously mentioned, certain partner airlines offer even better MR opportunities.....such as the 9100+ mile MR for $330 all-in (all flights within the CONUS) that I will be taking this coming weekend. ;)
