DenverBrian Jan 15, 06, 10:28 am Two that quickly come to mind: www.cheapovegas.com for tongue-in-cheek reviews of all LV hotels/casinos/buffets. http://www.fatwallet.com/t/63/483868/ for a quick summary of most current hotel promos. A search for certain keywords in this forum may uncover other useful links, depending on what you're looking for. FlyerGoldII Jan 15, 06, 10:42 am I did a search function using the terms discussion boards, and also bulletin boards (putting the word "AND" between the 2 words) - no luck! NWsilverflyer Jan 15, 06, 4:51 pm I like www.travel2vegas.com, that's worth checking out. Also, look at www.ratevegas.com and www.vegastripping.com. They are all useful in their own way, I think. escog Jan 16, 06, 1:37 pm Las Vegas Talk is the most active forum on Vegas I know of: http://lasvegastalk.com/ Affiliated with Lasvegastalk is A2ZLasvegas.com. They've got lots of reviews and trip reports: http://www.a2zlasvegas.com/ Las Vegas Advisor has some good, free info, though the subscription is worthwhile if you can use the included coupons: http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/ I've started reading an LA Times blog on Las Vegas that's pretty good: http://vegasblog.latimes.com/ JerryGuitar Jan 16, 06, 3:44 pm I like www.travel2vegas.com, that's worth checking out.this site has been changed to www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/ NWsilverflyer Jan 16, 06, 7:28 pm Two that quickly come to mind: www.cheapovegas.com for tongue-in-cheek reviews of all LV hotels/casinos/buffets. http://www.fatwallet.com/t/63/483868/ for a quick summary of most current hotel promos. Quick question--if there is a special that is titled a so-called "email special" (like the current one up there from Bally's) can anyone use the link? Will they know whether you really -received- the email from them? DenverBrian Jan 16, 06, 8:42 pm Quick question--if there is a special that is titled a so-called "email special" (like the current one up there from Bally's) can anyone use the link? Will they know whether you really -received- the email from them? Generally, I believe the answer to this is yes, you can use the link. What would they do - ask you to produce a printed copy of the email at check-in? You could tell them (truthfully) that a friend received the email and passed the info on to you. I think the only way an email special could be truly restricted would be if every individual recepient got their own unique code. Cookie Jarvis Jan 16, 06, 8:48 pm Las Vegas Advisor is my personal favorite. http://lasvegasadvisor.com/ KrisiO Jan 17, 06, 11:25 am There's a good deal of Las Vegas restuarant talk at the Chowhound Southwest board: http://www.chowhound.com/southwest/boards/southwest/southwest.html For hotel reviews, I like using tripadvisor. http://www.tripadvisor.com/ StSebastian Jan 17, 06, 11:32 pm I think the only way an email special could be truly restricted would be if every individual recepient got their own unique code.Which does happen periodically with some of the emails I get, but most of them are public access if you have the appropriate link. businesstraveler Jan 20, 06, 9:23 pm http://www.vegastravelnews.com humanoid94 Jan 21, 06, 9:26 am Las Vegas Trip Report http://www.lasvegastripreport.com/ is a pretty interesting site. (It is connected, or at least used to, to LVTALK). The last post has a link to one such company. |
