Hilton HHonors - Beachwood OH Hilton lounge "enhanced"

Last month, I stayed at the Beachwood (Cleveland East) Hilton and there was work going on in the lounge. It was temporarily and disastrously relocated to a first floor conference room.

I'm back this month and the refurbishment consisted of 1) new carpet 2) new flatscreen tv and 3) removal of half the furniture. There are now 2 seats in front of the tv. "They"'ve also eliminated the tray for dirty dishes, which results in a backup of dirty tables at breakfast until the concierge can clear them. It appears they've eliminated the cooked Friday breakfast as well (used to be a quiche). I tried talking to the concierge about it but she was in a mood and blamed it all on "them".

Oh, and the lobby entrance is now under reconstruction. I assume "they"'ll be enhancing the lobby by removing the desk and providing fewer doors. :D

I'll be emailing the GM for the second month in a row to share my disappointment. I spent about 20 nights there last year. I have 1 night booked there in Feb. That could change.

I stayed there twice as it was closely located to the business place I was going to. After the second try, I gave up.
The hotel is old. They keep on renovating for months. Elevators are dirty, I mean dirty and smell bad inside! Slow moving type and being used all times.
Room is no better than regular holiday inn. Doesn't worth $$$ you spent there. Stay away:td:.
There are a lot of better hotels nearby like new Hampton Inn at Beachwood .
