All of those worried about the removal of the snack basket take notice it is not under threat. This comes directly from the top. Long live the xoxo. :)

I'd rather have rollover and bring my own XOs

Don't forget companion upgrades at the 7-day window.

Still waiting to see just how that one shakes out (following the other thread regarding companion upgrades with great interest).

I need proof first!

That's how I feel. They say they are going to put it on US West flights shortly--we'll see. DP made a lot of promises at the beginning of the merger and not one has played out. NOT ONE POSITIVE CHANGE FOR VFF HAS BEEN MADE--they've only made the program worse. Without companion upgrades and rollover, I am getting a status match and leaving.

Very nice, but small comfort.

Snack basket doesn't do much good on a RJ!!! Bring back more mainline flights...

p.s. the HP RJ-900's are horrible!! 2+ hours on CLT-MSP on those concrete seats are the worst!!

May I suggest patience!

March 1 is 45 days away and while the snack tray is not the biggest issue for most of us it does signal a willingness to listen on their part.

As you know I'm all for storming the barricades. They just changed Managers in PHL Operations so the break down of the US "Old Boy" network has begun IMO. US Airways took 10 years and three management teams to nearly ruin and it will take Mr Parker more than 90 days to fix the problems.

I would encourage each of you to write to Mr. Parker with your concerns as he has shown a willingness to both respond AND listen!

I'm considering creating a survey/poll on the FFOCUS web site that would allow Flyer Talkers & US Aviation posters to stack rank what is of importance to them. I'm not sure if we can do this "in front of the curtain" so that non FFOCUS Members can add their voice as well.

But if I can't get four or five hundred responses I'm not sure I want to bother. To small of a sample size will not have the desired impact and will dilute our message.

I truly believe that the Senior management of of the new US to be honorable, sincere and willing to listen. I also believe they are completely clueless as to exactly what the FF community of US East expects of them. It's our job to remedy that.

And UA has upped the ante with exPlus. Forget the snack basket--picture the -170 with an F cabin and economy plus.

It remains to be seen if UA is capable of making money with first on the E170. Do you know why US does not have china and caviar on every flight, because even though we would love it we would never pay for it. United may have taken a lot of DM elite but good luck making their operation profitable. Things get better in good economic conditions. If US were making hand over fist I'm sure they would loosen the purse strings. Until then we are free to go fly another carrier offering more and losing more. Let's face it these are not good times anywhere for elite flyers. If oil were free then we could check in from our courtesy limos.
