Hilton HHonors - Wrong Rates on website - Hilton wont honour

Looking to stay at either HGVC in Orlando on 21/01 for one night.
When I search all hilton hotels the rates show as 74 and 85 dollars for the two, and have shown this for some time.
Going to book either throws up a lowest rate bookable of around 95 dollars.
Spoke to CS and they wont honour the lower rate, saying "Its a known problem with the website" and therefore tough!
Any comments/help please?

I suspect that the lower rates may be available for some special category (e.g. government, promotion rate, single, etc.) and that you are not elgible. The initial display of rates is not a contract offer. It is simply a guide. There is even a warning :
Rates displayed below may include non-refundable rates.
Please be sure to review the complete rate rules and restrictions
prior to confirming your stay.[B]
I think that you are making a big deal out of nothing.

Any comments/help please?Mistakes happen.
So it seems you've got a few options:
1) Book at the rate they offer online.
2) Book at Hilton central phone reservations at whatever rate they offer.
3) Call the hotel direct and see if they offer anything better. Explain the problem to a manager at the hotel, and maybe they'll offer the rate to you.
4) Book a different property.
But whichever option(s) you choose, it really doesn't seem that the error is a big issue. Note it and move on, IMHO.

I do know that the terms on ALL hilton reservations on their website say they can void the whole thing if it was the result of a mistake.
Not sure if this is pre or post japan/expedia but I've noticed it since then.
Hilton will never again honor the mistakes.

I've had a similar problem, and it is typically that the front page isn't updated as the actual rates are. I've tried to book nights at the Pittsburgh Hilton when the rate was showing as $75 on the front page, but when I tried to select a rate, it would only bring up rates of $150 or so. You may be able to get a slight discount if you are a AAA or AARP member. I'd calm down about it. If you don't like the rate, call the hotel and see what they'll offer you. Ask if they can match the rate on the first page of the website.
I don't see those initial rate comparisons coming up. Just the words "Available" or "Not Available", along with 'view rates' button next to each hotel. Did they disable something temporarily or am I doing something differently all of a sudden?

I booked a Hampton Inn during the vacation, working on the 5/10/15 promo. Since I'm eligible for the AARP rate, I ticked off that box and a rate came up about $10 cheaper than the regular AARP rate. So I grabbed it. After all, over the course of 10-15 stays, $10/night makes a big difference.
Anyhow, I went back to book it again and it had disappeared, so I called the hotel. They told me that they had reduced the rates during the holidays and, sorry, it's back up to normal. OK, I can live with that.
However, in looking further out (I have until Feb 28 to finish the promo), I fond the reduced rate available again in February -- the whole month. So, I booked the remaining nights, and have a confirmation in hand for the whole thing.
I can't imagine they'll give me a problem with it.

Ok, thanks to all.
Not a big deal as it's not a big amount, just annoying that its a known issue that seems to have been there a long time (I think over two months) and they have'nt fixed it. Spoke to the website help number and they told me that it is becuse the internals of the website price out a room at some properties that doesnt actually exist at those particular hotels.
The poster (Grog) about it not showing outline rates on the initial search is correct - dunno if they've done this as part of the process to sort things, but I haven't seen this in a very long time and I do lots of searches daily.
Noted it and moving on!

Checked the website today and the correct rates appear in the summary screen.
May I take credit for pushing them into this or is it a coincidence?
Anyways, its all as it should be now, as those incorrect rates were showing from at least november, wonder why it took them so long to fix it...
They have been having this problem for months. The LV Hilton was showing up as $0, the ORD Airport was showing up cheap, etc.
