Hilton HHonors - New Promo Double Basepoints

today hilton is sending out a promo for double basepoints.
Valid until 2/28

i dont have a link as the email is personally adressed, but i think some of you got the email as well..

I can't remember ever (at least the last 3 years) being targeted by HH. It's a little frustrating, especially when I read of 50,000 points being targeted with 5 stays.

i usually do not get many promotions.
after having 200K basepoints in 2005/2006 i think i wont receive anything for the next 3 years too...

anyway, i had sucess in getting some promos addet through the gold/diamond service to my account.

this was done manually by them.

As a counter example, I've had about 175K base points the last couple of years and I've received some very nice promotions (free nights, 3X points). So I don't think staying a lot automatically eliminates you from the promo pool. YMMV, maybe I'm just a lucky guy. :)

I was not targeted.... Oh well, I must have too many points and stays.

Sadly I was not tergeted either and my stays have dropped off by about 50% this year, so what does that do to the too many stays theory?
Maybe HH just doesn't like some of us :confused:

Will they send the promotion email tomorrow too or is the people who didn't get it today completely out of luck?
