Travel Technology - Another New Google Product: Google Pack
I basically combines most of the Google software along with other poular freeware. It also includes a new screensaver program and an auto-update program to make sure your software is up to date.

May be worth getting simply for the auto-update. Bit of a pain to manually update adaware all the time...

Oh oh oh Google... NORTON ANTIVIRUS??? Why oh why?
So many great free versions on the market, and Google choses to go with Bloarton :(
It is clear Google has joined big business...

Believe I'll pass on this one
It is clear Google has joined big business...
That is what happens when a cool little tech company goes public. Google closed today at $466.80 and is predicted to go to at least $600 by the end of 2006, so they need to answer to the stockholders and produce a profit. This, I'm afraid, forces them to be more corporate in their approach.
I personally dont mind as I think it will allow them to garner the important revenue required to develop cutting edge software and services.

I can't believe they did THIS instead of a nice Outlook style calendar to go along with Gmail.
Google have interesting partners...
Speaking of bloatware, Real Player is also listed...At least it's optional...

Agreed. Had to uninstall NAV because it "ate" my CPU at times.

Thanks for the post!
You have the option to pick any of the software, so have loaded without NAV or RealPlayer.
Cheers,

The only one of the non G products that dont have automatic updates is Ad-Aware and you can do that every time you run it ... even set a script to run it automatically ...
Interesting idea from the big G and could be very valuable if they were to go with a different AV (read AVG or something similar) ...
