Starwood Preferred Guest - website - countries listed?

So if I'm trying to find a list of hotels in say Bermuda or Costa Rica, I'd think I could simply put in the country and press enter. It would then list any hotels, and tell me to enter in dates to get rate information. So when it comes up and says there are no hotels, why on earth would you bother listing a bunch of countries as options when there are NO HOTELS in that country? (if that is the case).

Things change. Either management contract of a certain hotel ended and it was rebranded as another chain and the main website not updated.

BTW, are you sure there are no Marriott's in Costa Rica:
